Summary
Central Area Senior Center (CASC), a mid-size 501 c 3 nonprofit is looking to hire a Full Charge Professional Bookkeeper who will process and manage all day to day accounting needs. She/he will compile and audit the financial statements to give to tax preparer to be used to complete the annual audit.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable (A/R) – Customer Invoicing and Cash Receipts
Accounts Payable (A/P) – Vendor Bills and Payments
General Ledger and Journal Entries
Collections
Financial Statement Preparation, i.e. Balance Sheet and Income Statement (aka Profit and Loss Statement)
Payroll Processing, to include Taxes and Reporting
Year End 1099 Processing
Bank and Credit Card Statement Reconciliation
Telephone and Email Support as Needed
Maintenance of Vendor and Customer Files
Organizational Bookkeeping Needs
Onsite Services, Some Flexibility for Occasional Offsite or Remote Work Depending on Negotiated Agreement
Some Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Quarterly Program Bookkeeping
Grant Maintenance and Management
Non-Profit Bookkeeping Focus
In State and Out of State Tax Reporting
In State and Out of State Sales Tax Reporting
City Excise Tax Reporting
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Skills & Abilities
Accuracy in data entry and the delivery and giving of information.
Ability to utilize nonprofit accounting software in daily work and to assist others in its usage as it relates to their specific job areas.
Values diversity and cultural experiences different than own.
Adaptable to change; ability to be flexible.
Willingness to support special events, programs and activities reliant upon nonprofit accounting software and/or Salesforce for event executions.
